GCD 2026 Calendar of Events

 July 2026 

Monday July the 13th at 9am,  members are gathering to propagate plants from their gardens for the Plant Sale.

I am going to bring in a few trimmings.  Chinese hat and fruit cocktail salvia, that you are welcomed to try your hand if you are a newcomer to propagation. The Chinese Hat will be a new one for me.

Ace Hardware is offering us 10 percent off their brand potting soil and Black Cow potting soil. You need to show proof that you are a member.  Bring your card, no card no discount. Ok? 

As it is intolerably hot, we will be in our building.  

Bring your trimmings, snips, gloves, a beverage and if possible, a container to hold your soil.  Casey is coming in with root tone.

Tuesday, July 14th and 28th, Let’s beat the heat and start at 7:30am, Sensory Butterfly Garden Workday at Bill Dreggors Park (230 N. Stone St.) we will be doing a lot of weeding, please bring your own water to stay well-hydrated. This is a Garden Club of DeLand event and all members are welcomed.
